I second that Lem. You're great. From the amount of abuse I see you take on some of these comments, you must have the thickest skin I know ;)

Oh, Lemonette, you are the bee's knees! I just got into your videos this week and I love them! I think you are the only southerner I know; the accent is so great and you can teach me loads about the South. I also love buttons and use them for many lessons when I teach preschool. Thanks for posting!

Lemonette, not only do we save buttons up north, but my mom whon was born and raised in Japan also has a great button collection in an old cake tin! I used to play with her button collection too! You really dug up some old memories for me :)

My German grandmother kept a button collection in a green candy tin. She was a farmer's wife and an excellent homemaker. I still have the tin, and a few beloved buttons I have kept over the years. Maybe I should put them together! Thanks for sharing your memories.

My Nana never threw anything away. When she passed away a few years ago and we moved into the house we found all sorts of jars and things like that filled with little buttons and thimbles. She grew up during the Depression, so I guess it was just something she picked up from that era.

There's the Log Cabin pancake house in Pidgeon Forge, where the owner said when I said that a biscuit place would drop a piece of country ham in the deep fat---- he said that they ougta be shot. Log Cabin Restaurant is one of the last older original businesses there--- Hope it lives on. Thanks Lemonette

Well, I have to announce it. The regular TV is now obsolete. Youtube is WAY better. Now I gotta get on here but it will be a while. Love your videos Lemonette. Country saying down East in a fishing village in NC: A freind of mine bought an old small fishing boat with an inboard motor. Very old. My friend asked how long would it run (the motor) The seller answered: "it'll go for a time." That's a true story. I was there. also see folkmoot dot com
