pyrrho314 ::: Favorites 2007-09-27 18:00:15 the distinction you make between two types of bias gets to the point well I think... we can do a lot to mitigate "normal" bias, but only by accepting it as ever present in an ideal/logical sense. Ultimately we are biased by the types of physical events our senses can perceive in the first place. Though it's funny, eventually we have come to "see" the invisible (UV) patterns in flowers only bees see, by extending our senses technologically. __________________________________________________
existentialistcat ::: Favorites 2007-09-27 12:17:46 Hello! I was being difficult and asking what to base choosing a philosophy on-- another philosophy? But I agree, I always find it the most rewarding to synthesize different philosophies, because most have something to offer. Maybe bias in the normal sense could be minimalized, but bias in the idealist sense... just can't.Subjectivism is very important to philosophy and combining philosophies, but can also deny itself. Thoughts? __________________________________________________

zencat01 ::: Favorites 2007-09-26 20:54:54 Is this under the category "Autos & Vehicles", because you see philosophy as a vehicle? <]:)~ __________________________________________________ |
