I was wondering if it might have been a Gretsch 12, as David used Gretsch in this Byrds stint. I don't see the dot markets on the fretboard like an Epi or Gibson, however the headstock does have a Gibson mustache top...perhaps. I think he was one of the best ryhthm players I listened to.
