Description: This is a segment from the cult movie "Koyaanisqatsi" featuring the Philip Glass composed track "Pruit Igoe". The first trailer of GTA IV features an edited version of the music, and a visualisation that is strangely familiar after watching the above mentioned movie. A quote from Wikipedia: "In the Hopi language, the word Koyaanisqatsi means 'life of moral corruption and turmoil, life out of balance', and the film implies that modern humanity is living in such a way." Seems fitting enough for both this piece of film and the game it (partially) inspired.

themanautomatic ::: Favorites The combination of the music and the different shots of the Pruit Igoe buildings are so amazingly evocative; it's probably my favorite moment in all of Koyaanisqatsi. nubbie1944 ::: Favorites Yes it's Pruit Igoe in St. Louis. Built in the late 50s to be a "modern" way of living eventually became run down and crime ridden until they were torn down in 1972.
