kevme ::: Favorites This is fucking amazing his wrist tendon/muscle stamina to keep speed over time. The speed and accuracy of those tom crossovers is fantastic. I cannot believe that left hand speed with matched grip at 6:50 and after!!!! Jesus! What a freak. All of this done in 1948..and in a SUIT! 07-06-29 20:23:39 __________________________________________________
drummerfan277 ::: Favorites As usual, an incredible solo. It's funny to see him not using traditional grip. 07-03-30 17:13:02 __________________________________________________
madchops82 ::: Favorites way ahead of his time. 07-02-09 06:56:02 __________________________________________________
adm7007 ::: Favorites Holy shit,unreal. Is there any footage of him when he did a solo using only 2 bass drums at the Paramount show from around this time? 06-12-30 21:52:49 __________________________________________________
babystinky ::: Favorites At 6:50 his left hand is unbelievable. 06-12-26 03:40:26 __________________________________________________
richcapo ::: Favorites Wow ... this is unlike ANY Buddy solo I have ever seen. Rich doing tribal drumming -- whodathunkit. Very little Buddy-esque; really shows off his versatility. Amazing. And check out his left hand ca. 6:50. Unreal! 06-12-22 19:54:50 __________________________________________________

Jakehotep ::: Favorites Love Buddy, but it looks like he's faking everything before the closeup shot. 06-12-06 18:27:19 __________________________________________________
drehrilch ::: Favorites This clip is from about 1946-47. I've actually had part of this clip for about 15 years, I got it from the library. Notice on the 13" mounted tom the lugs. WFL used small lugs from 1946-48 on the 13" tom only. In 49' they switched to the larger ones. More relevant information can be found on page 200 from the book "Traps the Drum Wonder". 06-11-16 18:20:39 __________________________________________________ |
