Description:

In the studio with YES as they record America, a song that was released on the Atlantic Promo album, The New Age Of Atlantic, and as a 45 rpm single. Eventually, the song was re-issued on Yesterdays. Now, it's a fan favorite, revived in 1996 for the Keys to Ascension shows recorded in SLO, California.

About the best prog drums & bass jam. Anybody know of another group that jams like Bruford/Squire?

This is amazing! This song (written by simon/garfunkel;) contains all there is about YES. By the way: this is the damn best sounding bass there ever was and will be!

I usually play a J-Bass but have always wanted a Ricky with Rotosounds because of Squire and that awesome dirty growly sound that hits you in the chest. Sigh.. someday!

Thanks for this post. I first saw this on TV around the mid 70s, and I have not had the fortune to see it since. It showed they could really belt it out, with Wakeman keeping it tight for once and none of the Anderson lyrical excesses. And they really seem to be enjoying it!

I'm young amung Yes fans, only 25 years old, never seen them in concert and never could've in 1972. On YouTube I've seen archive videos of their concerts from that period, and I was disillusioned. The overbloated showmanship really bothered me. I guess it was the time period. This video is to me what Yes is about. Five fantastic musicians having a good time making great music. It's exactly my favorite lineup of Yes ever, too. This really means a lot to me, thanks so much.
