Description: Back in 1990 when "In Living Color" originally aired on Fox, I recorded each episode on VHS and then transferred the Fly Girls dance bumper segments on to another tape. The result was a continuous run of the Fly Girls dancing to the top hip-hop hits of the day. When Fox recently released "In Living Color" on DVD, it was too expensive for them to license all the original music so most of it has been changed to a generic dance track. I was disappointed by this move (although I understand the enormous expense involved in licensing music for DVD releases) so I thought I would go back and pull out my original VHS compilation tape and post it here for all to enjoy. There is some great music in this clip from the golden age of hip-hop, including: Public Enemy, LL Cool J, Queen Latifah, Chubb Rock, Special Ed, X Clan, Monie Love and many, many more. I was a club DJ at the time and this brings back a lot of memories. Also, I must admit I had a bit of a crush on the blonde haired dancer, Cari French.
